Myth of Valderit changes
Thank you for playing our first playtest. Now… What’s next?
Our first playtest of Myth of Valderit has officially come to an end, and we want to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to play, share feedback, and support the game.
Over the past two weeks, your comments, reviews, and discussions have been incredibly helpful.
Thanks to you, we’ve learned a lot about how you: Players experience the game and, most importantly, how clearly we’re communicating its core concept.
(Did you play the playtest but forget to leave your feedback? Don’t worry, here’s the form, which will remain open until the next playtest: First Playtest form)
One of our biggest learnings is that we need to better showcase and strengthen the Adaptive Horror System, which is a key pillar of Myth of Valderit. Your feedback helped us identify where this system can be improved so that its impact is clearer, more consistent, and more meaningful during gameplay.
Because of this, we’ve decided to temporarily close the playtest and focus on:
Making the core experience clearer and understandable.
Polishing gameplay details and overall pacing.
And obviously fixing all the bugs you found.
The good news? The feedback has been very encouraging and gives us a lot of energy and confidence moving forward. Seeing players believe in the game and engage with its ideas motivates us even more to make it the best version possible.
We’ll be sharing updates soon about what we’re working on and when you’ll be able to jump back in and try the next iteration of the playtest.
Once again, thank you for being part of this early stage of Myth of Valderit. We’re excited to show you what comes next.
If you want to be aware of all, follow the game on the Steam Page.
