Development Status and Future

First I want to thank everyone for playing the game, it's very flattering that people thought this was a medium sized AA project! But really it's just 1 musician, 1 Unity dev (me), and 1 backend dev.

What changed

1 fix0 additions2 changes0 removals
  • UI and audio
  • Store
changedThe bad: Self hosting is not user friendly . So what I'm gonna do for the coming week is to implement a solution that is a one click automated self host feature for both text generation and TTS voice generation . This is what the game needs, this is what people expected, and this is what I wanted as well. As stated before the current launch implementation was due to navigating the Steam ToS and time constraints. Many people have had no problems using the Self Host mod but a lot of people did, so this is the #1 development priority right now.
fixedThe ugly: Some bugs still rear their heads once in a while. I have fixed several since launch day including language issues, not knowing where to go map changes, and random improvements. I am still fixing more and more as time goes on! This is #2 development priority right now (unless it's a critical issue).
changedP.S. We increased everyone's tokens by 30% to 100k which covers 5~10 hours of AI playthroughs, and also reduced the token store by 20% . Before release some people wanted the option to buy more tokens after they ran out because they know they wouldn't be able to self host AI themselves, thus we implemented the store. This has led to pushback because other people thought that this game was gonna be a money mill for AI , we honestly have razor thin margins on the AI token store , AI TTS is very expensive and we REALLY wish AI TTS was an easier endeavor for games, AI is still expensive, intricate, and an involved past time. But I'm here to make it easier!

First I want to thank everyone for playing the game, it's very flattering that people thought this was a medium sized AA project! But really it's just 1 musician, 1 Unity dev (me), and 1 backend dev. Being swamped these past few days is putting it mildly.

Development is moving forward and this is what we are doing given the following good, bad and ugly feedback!

The good: AI services are operational, robot characters are cute and spontaneous, good vibes. Achievements are fun to complete. We're gonna keep pushing the cuteness.
