Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After - Episode 00 changes
Thank you for your patience! We got lots of feedback from everyone about the new game engine we're using for TDA, and we've been hard at work implementing your suggestions especially concerning the user interface. Read on below to see what we've added and changed!
Japanese/English Language Switch - This was a feature that many people enjoyed in the original Muv-Luv engine, and now it's in our new engine too! You can now switch between languages seamlessly at any point within the game via the options menu.
Right clicking anywhere now opens the main menu
Images in the CG Gallery now takes up the whole screen - This was another common feature request! Now when you click on an image in the CG gallery, the image(s) you see will take up the whole screen. As for larger CGs, clicking anywhere will automatically scroll the illustration.
A caret for auto mode - The caret is a small animated icon at the bottom-right of the dialog area. Now it's easier to tell if you're in auto read mode!
Quick access arrows now disappear faster - Quick access arrows are buttons that appear on both sides and at the bottom of the screen. They were reported as intrusive for screenshotting/recording, so we made them disappear faster for a more immersive experience. For screenshots without a mouse cursor while on full screen, we suggest using F12/Steam's screenshot function.
English translation team credits are moved to the top of the credits roll
Master volume slider added
The text speed in auto mode can now be set
Players can now switch to fullscreen or windowed mode via options menu - In the previous build, the only way to set the game window to fullscreen was pressing alt+enter altogether. We added this inside the options menu now for ease of access.
Character voices can now be turned on/off individually - Don't like the way a character's voice sounds? Want to turn off all the voices for all the guys? Now you can!
More miscellaneous UI improvements
Thank you all so much for the feedback you gave us! We’re really trying to make the new engine the best it can possibly be to support our games, so it helps a lot knowing our fans are there to give us feedback we need, every issue that needs to be addressed. As always, feel free to message us via social media or Steam! While we can’t always respond to every inquiry, rest assured we always read every single feedback we get!
Cheers,
The Muv-Luv Team
