addedI’m excited to share the substantial progress I’ve made on Mountain Boy since the last version. The Steam page has been completely overhauled, and many placeholders have been replaced to reflect all the new improvements.
addedClimbing Gameplay Expanded The climbing mechanics have been refined and expanded, with the addition of a couple of hidden mechanics that let you recover some stamina while climbing. These new features add more depth to the gameplay and give you new ways to approach challenges.
changedImproved Visuals I’ve enhanced the graphics in many areas, including new textures, sprites, VFX, and a light depth of field effect in the background for a more immersive experience. These changes bring a fresh, polished look to the game while keeping the pixel art charm intact.
changedRedesigned HUD The HUD has been completely reworked. It’s now dynamic and disappears when not needed, making it far less intrusive than before.
addedNew Coins and Shops I’ve introduced two types of coins to collect while climbing, along with new shops where you can spend them. Now, with your coins, you can even purchase a ticket for an elevator ride!

Looking Ahead: I plan to reopen the playtest soon, and if anyone would like to help improve the game, I’d really appreciate your feedback. This second playtest will be the foundation for creating the demo.
