We also want to give a special shoutout to all the content creators who are relaying our videos, sharing news, and talking about the project. It absolutely does not go unnoticed. Your support helps the project reach new riders and future players every single day, and we’re genuinely grateful for it.
If you have not done it yet, please consider adding Motocross The Game to your Steam wishlist. It has a massive impact on visibility and helps us continue building momentum.
🚧 What’s new in February?
February was focused on strengthening core gameplay systems while continuing steady progress on multiplayer and physics. Here is what we worked on:
- VFXAdded subtle wind effects to grass, flowers, and small foliage to make environments feel more alive.
Continued development of the multiplayer framework (still WIP).
Advanced off-track detection system v1.0 is now completed.
Added another 3D scanned track to the project (WIP).
Ongoing physics tuning.
Implemented track pits logic.
Continued work on rider customization.
Flaggers are being brought to life (WIP).
Implemented full race logic, including start sequence, lap counting, timing, white flag, checkered flag, and detection of lapped riders. The real rules of our favorite sport.
Integrated the rider dirt layer system directly into gameplay.
Connected MTG website accounts to the game via an authentication screen.
Updated the project to Unreal Engine 5.7.
Built new props for an upcoming track.
Created a custom internal tool to easily place fences and barriers across tracks.
A lot of this work happens behind the scenes, but each system adds depth, realism, and stability to the experience.
📅 What’s next?
For the upcoming month, the focus remains on refining core mechanics and expanding systems:
Continued bike settings and physics tuning
Making the rider react dynamically to physics data, including collisions and landings, with animations driven by that data
Daily progress on the overall physics system
More work on the UI, both creation and integration
Continued development of the multiplayer framework
Further improvements to steering
Implementation of crash logic
Track deformation continuous improvement
We are steadily building layer after layer to make sure the foundation is strong.
Thank you once again for your incredible support, your feedback, and your patience. Every wishlist, comment, and message keeps us pushing forward.
We are fully committed to delivering the motocross simulation we all dream of.
You all rock! 🤘 — The Motocross The Game Team 🧡
