Update v0.28.12 - CRT shader options & small fixes

Hi folks, Firstly, thanks very much to everyone who’s already played the Morsels demo, added the game to their wishlist, or shared feedback. It’s really motivating for us to see people excited about what we’re making.

addedAdded the ability to tone down/turn off the fullscreen shader effects. I really love the lines, in my opinion they do something slightly magical with the pixel art, but I understand that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and some people might have a hard time with them. I did also add a couple of silly options, for silly people.
changedBug fix: Ratcliffe was taking people to the easy challenge regardless of their choice. Apologies to anyone who should have died but didn’t because of this.
removedBug fix: taking the ticket to the croc arcade game no longer results in it disappearing before the next level.
changedGenie bottle enemies won’t spawn until level 2.

We’re not going to do a huge amount of updates to this demo build, as we need to mostly focus on finishing the rest of the game, but there were a few things that came up that we wanted to fix right away. So we’ve just released an update with the following changes:

  • Added the ability to tone down/turn off the fullscreen shader effects. I really love the lines, in my opinion they do something slightly magical with the pixel art, but I understand that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and some people might have a hard time with them. I did also add a couple of silly options, for silly people.

  • Bug fix: Ratcliffe was taking people to the easy challenge regardless of their choice. Apologies to anyone who should have died but didn’t because of this.

  • Bug fix: taking the ticket to the croc arcade game no longer results in it disappearing before the next level.

  • Bug fix: hints were sometimes showing at the wrong time.

  • 20 secs extra time before the adder spawns.

  • Genie bottle enemies won’t spawn until level 2.

  • Added a glow to the daisy because I’m worried people aren’t collecting their daisies.

More issues remain, some of which we'll get to in the coming days, and others that are unfortunately just going to have to wait til the full game, but hopefully that’s made things a little nicer for now.

Thanks again!
