Monster City: A Monster College Story changes
Hi everyone.
Given how many issues were found and fixed after the release of v0.13.0, I decided to put out a full patched version of the game.
Most of the problems were related to Sandbox Mode, but I still recommend Story Mode players update as well, just to avoid potential issues and inconsistencies.
✨ v0.13.6 Changelog
📸 Added a color filter to the City/College maps, so that the in-game time phase is even clearer
📖 Rachel’s first scene (required to unlock Maya) now triggers after 10 in-game days instead of 15
📖 Gain any free skill when unlocking Maya, instead of only the Senses upgrade
🛠️ Adjustments & Improvements (v0.13.6)
📸 Completely rebuilt the map character icon system — it’s now more dynamic, accurate, and easier to adjust without causing save issues
📸 Resized some images to the correct resolution for Elissa’s forest hangout
📖 Fixed some untranslated lines
📖 No more getting stuck in Dragomira’s dialogues (both Story and Sandbox Modes)
⚙️ No more getting stuck in Val’s dialogues
📖 Adjusted the timeframe requirements for several events and scenes
⚙️ Fixed requirements for Ulva’s ritual, which could mess up the order of multiple scenes
⚙️ Fixed requirements for certain scenes and events
🛠️ Adjustments & Improvements (v0.13.1-5)
⚙️ Fixed several Sandbox crashes
📖 Added Relationship Point gains in Fuyu's and Elissa's hangouts
📸 Fixed Ray & Diva's MonstaCard enchanting requirements
📖 Fixed Maya’s looping scene (just talk to Maya once more to break the loop and regain access to all of her dialogue options)
📖 Fixed "Relationship" topic during Nox's hangout at MonsterFood
📖 Fixed several Questlog issues
⚙️ Fixed Elissa's gloryhole scene not triggering
⚙️ Fixed several scenes appearing earlier than intended
⚙️ Fixed the Gym asking for a subscription payment despite already having an active one
The good news is that the game should now be fully playable again in both modes, even if a few smaller issues may still have slipped through.
The bad news is that I’ve decided to move away from monthly releases.
From now on, I’ll take more time between updates so I can better polish the content and reduce the amount of issues at launch.
It sucks, but I’m exhausted.
I still want to keep working on Monster City, and I genuinely appreciate those who continue to support the project with patience and kindness.
