Mona: The Endless Journey changes
Over the past several weeks, we've carefully reviewed the feedback gathered during the demo and made extensive improvements across the game. From combat feel and map exploration to character progression and storytelling, nearly every aspect has been refined. Beyond polishing the overall experience, we've also introduced a range of new content, all to make the demo even better.

Here are the full details of this demo update:
🛠️Demo Update v0.1.32
New Content:
1. Core Combat Mechanics
Expanded enemy combat AI with new Taunt and Intimidate behaviors, alongside reworked enemy stats and combat balancing for a difficulty curve that ramps up as you progress.
Added the Perfect Attack system, rewarding aggressive play and adding greater strategic depth and choice to combat.
Added environmental kills and wall-slam mechanics (experimental), expanding combat interaction with the environment.
2. Exploration & World
Added hidden bosses, secret walls, and concealed routes, greatly deepening map exploration.
3. Character Progression & Systems
Added the equipment and skill systems, significantly expanding strategic options in both combat and puzzle-solving.
Added pickupable items and collectibles, with descriptive text for every item to enrich the game's world and lore.
Added functional NPCs offering character upgrades, story progression, in-game hints, and other core features to complete the progression loop.
4. New Player Experience & Difficulty Tuning
Added a tutorial boss, giving newcomers a dedicated space to practice controls and test their skills.
Added the Revival Badge item to ease level difficulty and reduce the frustration of death.
Added a tutorial system and journal system to improve onboarding and help players quickly grasp the gameplay and story.
5. Story & Narrative
Added descriptive text to all items, adding depth and dimension to the narrative.
Added a journal system that works alongside the tutorials to round out the story and fill in world-building details.
Improvements:
1. Combat Feel & Balance
Reduced movement and combat hitstun restrictions for more responsive, flexible controls; reworked the protagonist's attack animations for stronger visual feedback and better game feel.
Enhanced enemy attack wind-ups and softened hit detection; repositioned enemies to improve combat pacing throughout each stage.
Comprehensive combat overhaul across controls, enemies, AI, and mechanics.
2. Map & Level Design
Reworked map visuals to lower the barrier to readability; remade map textures and details for higher visual quality.
Changed early-game linear exploration into branching, multi-path exploration later on, improving freedom of movement.
Revised several route puzzles to add new layers of challenge.
Remade map textures and details to improve overall visual quality.
Comprehensive overhaul of the map and level system across layout, routes, exploration, and puzzles.
3. Gameplay Systems
Full overhaul of character progression and gameplay systems to complete the core gameplay loop.
4. Visuals & UI
Refined the UI design for an all-around boost in visual quality.
Remade map textures and details to improve overall visual quality.
Bug Fixes:
Reworked the positional logic between the two protagonists to eliminate related bugs at their source and improve overall stability.
