Hello! We're ready to announce the winners of our community photo contest we did last month during the demo release. The task was simple: show us your decorated room, filled-up with all kinds of stickers. It turned out better than we expected, and yeah, we saw your creativity (or strange distortions), but this is your wall; do whatever you want!

At the same time, we’ve been working on a brand new promo art for Moldwasher! It took quite a bit of experimenting—testing different layouts, compositions, and vibes to find the right look. Our community also did its part and helped us pick the best layout from 4 different approaches we shared here on Steam and our Discord server.

Here’s a little peek at how the testing phase looked on our side. 👀 We started with the initial input that we wanted to emphasize more the main character and focus on the cleaning part, leaving the coziness and color palette accordingly with the game mood and aesthetics.

We started to test a few approaches and placements in the kitchen world. What perspective would be the best? Should we focus more on a sink or a fridge, or leave the background as a non-eye-catching factor and put the objects in front? Among those decisions, we also tried to pick the best position for our cute sushi roll.

After going through all that, we landed on a final version that we absolutely love. It’s cute, it’s cozy, and yes… we hope you’ll love it too!
