Modern Warships changes
Modern Warships is getting ready for its launch on Steam — and that means development is more active than ever! Each month, we’re adding more ships and weapons, and June 2025 is no exception. In this post, we’ve gathered all the equipment that has already appeared or is about to appear in the game. Naval tech enthusiasts — there’s plenty to look forward to!
🛳️ Ekranoplan RF Burevestnik (Project 905)
Nation: Russia Tier: III Role: Rapid flanking attacks
The RF Burevestnik (Project 905) is a modification of a Soviet experimental ground effect vehicle based on the KM project. Its design enables very high speeds, though it significantly limits its turning capabilities. Reinforced hull materials have improved durability and expanded the onboard arsenal.
Its armament includes three missile slots and RBU-2500/2 (212 mm) launchers capable of targeting torpedoes and submarines at long range. Defense is provided by the unique UKU-9K-502 BK (23 mm) rear-mounted system, highly effective against aerial threats.
Project 905 excels in swift flanking strikes and skirmishes against slower enemies. True to its name — the Burevestnik (Stormbringer) brings the tempest for those bold enough to charge forward.
🛳️ Cruiser JS Ibuki (ASEV-1001)
Nation: Japan Tier: III Role: Multi-purpose support, anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine
JS Ibuki (ASEV-1001) is a cruiser of Japan’s Aegis System Equipped Vessels program. It features reinforced durability and excellent maneuverability. Its standard armament includes two missile slots, a main cannon, a helicopter, an autocannon, and air defense.
The unique loadout begins with the modified RIM-174E (SM-6 Block I) missile, capable of bypassing heat decoys and hitting both surface and aerial targets. It is supported by the Tomahawk Block VA — a fast-launch, durable anti-ship missile — and Japan’s Type 12 SSM (H), which boasts high speed and a reinforced frame.
Other key weapons include the American Mark-45 Mod 4B (127 mm) multipurpose gun for both air and surface targets, and the Type 12 Kai system that automatically destroys torpedoes at mid-range. Air defense is handled by the HPLS I-100 laser and the 23-Type A-SAM system.
Modern and lethal, JS Ibuki is ready to prove itself in any naval operation!
🛳️ Submarine RF Strazh
Nation: Russia Tier: III Role: Hybrid warfare, stealth strikes, and reconnaissance
The RF Strazh is a hybrid warship combining features of a submarine and a surface patrol vessel. It’s built for mixed-combat missions and maritime reconnaissance.
Its primary weapon is the P-800 Yashma missile — a long-range missile that can be launched underwater and guided remotely. Complementing it are the UPAM-122 Groza (122 mm) naval cannon with explosive shells and the A-22M (140 mm) rocket launcher — both used in surface mode.
A special bay houses the Camcopter Strazh drone, used for target marking and missile launches. The loadout is completed with two customizable torpedo slots for underwater attacks.
This unique mix of stealth, long-range damage, and flexibility makes the Strazh a dangerous opponent, even for larger surface vessels.
✈️ Strike Fighter A-10C Thunderbolt II
Nation: USA Tier: III Role: Air support, anti-ship and anti-armor strikes
An upgraded version of the legendary U.S. Air Force strike fighter. The A-10C has received modern digital systems and an expanded arsenal. While its added weight reduces speed, its firepower more than makes up for it.
It features the iconic GAU-8/A Avenger II autocannon, capable of shredding armored targets. Mid-range attacks are handled by AGM-65K A10 anti-ship missiles, while close-range strikes use LAU-10 X3 (70 mm) unguided rockets.
Airstrikes also include GBU-39/B bombs with laser guidance and immunity to heat decoys, as well as GBU-38 JDAMs for rapid target acquisition.
A true stormbringer, the A-10C lives up to its nickname — "Thunderbolt" — striking fear into any foe.
✈️ Bomber B-1N Lancer
Nation: USA Tier: III Role: Long-range strikes, fleet suppression, strategic dominance
The B-1N Lancer is a modified version of the iconic B-1B, adapted for naval missions. It’s equipped with upgraded radar systems, new engines, and additional hardpoints, significantly increasing its payload.
What sets this version apart is its ability to carry nuclear-tipped missiles capable of devastating surface fleets. The B-1N serves as a tool of strategic pressure and unmatched force in maritime warfare.
✈️ Bomber Swordfish MPA Global 6000
Nation: Sweden Tier: III Role: Maritime patrol, anti-surface and anti-submarine operations
The Swordfish MPA Global 6000 is a Swedish multi-role maritime patrol aircraft designed for long-range missions and precision naval strikes. It’s perfect for open-sea operations requiring versatility and reliability.
Its arsenal includes RBS 15 Mk. IV Gungnir long-range missiles that bypass heat decoys, NSM-AL missiles effective at mid-range with area damage, and the KEPD 350K-2 SF with a cluster warhead.
It also features the HAAWC Mk 54 Mod2 (324 mm) — a high-altitude anti-submarine system that drops torpedoes from great heights and distances.
Swordfish is more than reconnaissance — it’s a decisive strike against any maritime threat.
🚁 Unmanned Helicopter Z-6B
Country: China Tier: III Type: Reconnaissance / Artillery Support
The Z-6B is a Chinese unmanned helicopter designed to enhance naval artillery accuracy and carry out a wide range of reconnaissance missions. While unarmed, it boasts high durability and comes with a generous reserve, making it a reliable support asset in prolonged engagements.
An essential choice for players who rely on map awareness and tactical advantage.
L/52A1 Cannon (155 mm)
Nation: Germany Tier: III Type: Artillery
The L/52A1 is a German heavy-caliber cannon mounted in a fully automated turret with electric drive. It’s designed as a rapidly deployable system that can be installed on almost any platform.
The gun deals area damage to surface targets at mid-range. Its versatility, power, and flexibility make it an excellent choice for fire support.
Nirbhay Missile
Nation: India Tier: III Type: Cruise missile
The Nirbhay is an Indian cruise missile built to strike surface targets. It launches on a high arc before switching to low-altitude sea-skimming flight, reducing interception risk.
It features fast target acquisition, short reload time, and area damage — making it ideal for swift strikes and precision fleet suppression.
ALKA (DEWS) Air Defense System
Nation: Turkey Tier: III Type: Air Defense
The ALKA (DEWS) is a Turkish directed-energy air defense system that combines electromagnetic and laser pulses to intercept threats. Equipped with autonomous radar and optical sensors, it can independently detect and track targets.
It effectively eliminates aerial threats at mid-range, providing solid protection against drones, missiles, and other airborne tech. A futuristic high-tech solution — already in your arsenal.
TRG-300 Tiger (300 mm)
Nation: Turkey Tier: III Type: Grenade Launcher
The TRG-300 Tiger is a Turkish MLRS system with four 300 mm launchers. It offers high projectile speed, excellent accuracy, and massive area damage.
However, it has a long reload time and slow turret rotation. It’s effective exclusively against surface targets.
T-122 Sakarya (122 mm)
Nation: Turkey Tier: III Type: Grenade Launcher
The T-122 Sakarya is a Turkish MLRS system with dual 122 mm launcher pods. It reloads quickly and deals significant area damage.
Its key advantage is versatility: it can target both surface and underwater enemies, making it a great choice for flexible battlefield tactics.
And that’s just a taste of what awaits you when Modern Warships launches on Steam! More equipment, updates, and surprises are on the horizon. Stay tuned for news so you don’t miss a thing!
⚓ See you in battle, Commanders!
