Mnemosyne's Cube changes
Mnemosyne's Cube is finally on Steam!
I invite you to immerse yourself in a psychological visual novel with a unique visual style and an interesting story. You can learn more about the game on its Steam page or simply by trying it out for yourself. A full playthrough with all endings takes about 2-3 hours.
If you like the game, I would be very grateful for a review on Steam.
I would also like to share a little bit about the history of this game and explain why, despite its short duration, it is very important to me.
I have been fascinated by games since childhood and have always wanted to create something of my own. About six years ago, on the Anivisual forum, I accidentally met a person who later became my best friend. He wrote the script for this game. Another friend created all the fantastic visuals, and a little later, two composers joined the team and wrote a wonderful soundtrack.
In the end, development — from concept and script to programming — took a little over a year. Most of the time was spent on creating the visuals and polishing the game. In 2021, it was first released on Anivisual, GameJolt, and Itch.io, and it was a very cool experience for us.
Soon after, as you know, the war began in Ukraine. I lost someone very close to me, and it was a difficult period with a lot of heavy thoughts and emotions. But in 2024, I gradually began to return to normal life. That's when I had the idea to return to this game: to improve it, translate it completely into Ukrainian, fix some bugs, update the menu and other UI elements, and apply the skills I had gained while working as a developer.
And now, my small personal goal — to release my first full-fledged and conscious creation on Steam — has finally been achieved. For me, it is also a way to honour the memory of the person who, in many ways, shaped the identity of this game.
I wish you a pleasant journey!
