Misty Valley: A Cozy Fishing Tale changes
Hello everyone!
Misty Valley: A Cozy Fishing Tale is taking part in Steam Next Fest, and we have prepared a special updated demo just for the occasion! Whether you are new to the valley or coming back for another trip, this is the perfect moment to grab your rod and cast a line.
Misty Valley A Cozy Fishing Tale Demo
What Is New in the Demo
For Next Fest, we gave the demo a real overhaul. There are plenty of UX and UI improvements, a range of gameplay fixes, and a new fishing mechanic that changes how landing a catch feels. We would love for you to try it out and let us know what you think. Your feedback genuinely shapes where the game goes next, so please leave us your thoughts, impressions, and any issues you run into
What You Can Play in the Demo
The demo is a real slice of Misty Valley, not just a teaser. You can play the full skill-based fishing loop, sail your boat, explore the map, sell your catch, upgrade your gear, and follow the story's opening. The farming, cooking, and crafting systems are all there to try too. It stands on its own as a complete experience and lays the foundation the rest of the game builds on.
What Is Coming in the Early Access
Early Access builds on the demo and goes deeper. The world grows, the story begins to unfold, and many of the systems you know from the demo are expanded and improved. Here is some of what is on the way:
Over 20 fish to discover across 5 species groups
More places to fish, including along shorelines and rivers
Three new rods to unlock and upgrade
A reworked boat to call your own, with a full upgrade and customization system
The first 3 story chapters, with new quests and unique villagers
More islands, locations, and story areas to explore
Livelier villagers who move through the day and night cycle
Ambient wildlife like jellyfish, seagulls, chickens, and butterflies
Lanterns and improved night-time lighting
Reworked magic content, including elixirs, magical items, and the enchanted forest
An upgradable fishing stall and a more varied farming system
A balanced economy for a relaxing, sustainable pace of play
A polish pass with richer audio, performance improvements, and rebindable controls
and much more...
Thank you for playing and for all your feedback. It truly helps us make Misty Valley better.
Enjoy the updated demo during Next Fest, and we cannot wait to share what comes next.
