I finally got around to updating the game again, fixing a bunch of bugs reported by you and added some suggested QoL.
Also, sorry for keeping this game in early access for so long, I thought I would have the time and energy to keep working on it regularly, but that was a mistake. In hindsight it would have been better to release immediately with post-release updates. I apologize to anyone that had different expectations.
Having said that, here are the changes:

fixed steam api not working
fixed a duplication bug (bug reported by Prozix)
removed the building types navigation in the UI and added tabs instead (as suggested by Botaxalim)
added audio mute buttons in the main game (as suggested by Benata)
fixed settings not always saving
when chickens die they now don't spawn a corpse anymore if it would mean destroying whatever was on that tile (bug reported by Looper)
you can now also use backspace instead of delete to remove flags (suggested by smbogan)
reduced rain lag
fixed a bug where the game appeared borderless windowed and wasnt interactable
limited the amount of bats that can exist to reduce potential lag
bats now have 10% chance to drop wheat seeds (as suggested by Theisen)
fixed being able to hit chickens and bats from very far
added an option in settings that reduces fuel speed/how long fire lasts (as suggested by Strong Hoov)
fixed a bug where you didn't have to repair all beacons
