Patch 1.103

A patch fixing some typos and other small issues is now live. There is a chance this update might break some saves; this is unfortunately unavoidable. I am dreadfully sorry for the inconvenience!

changedA patch fixing some typos and other small issues is now live. There is a chance this update might break some saves; this is unfortunately unavoidable. I am dreadfully sorry for the inconvenience! Luckily, this should be a one-time thing. Saves that are close to chapter transition points are the most commonly affected.
changedIf your save is broken, there are two options to recover your position! The second option, if you're far in the story and don't want to skip back to where you were (understandable) is to activate the "beta" branch by right clicking the game in Steam, clicking Properties, and navigating to the Betas tab. The beta branch contains the previous version of the game, which won't have the typo corrections but will allow you to use your old save.

If your save is broken, there are two options to recover your position!

The first is to enable "Skip Unseen Text" in the Preferences menu, and to hold the skip key to get back to your previous point. I realize this will be a pain in the butt if you happen to have a broken save later in the story, but it will at least allow you to read the rest of the volume with the corrections.

The second option, if you're far in the story and don't want to skip back to where you were (understandable) is to activate the "beta" branch by right clicking the game in Steam, clicking Properties, and navigating to the Betas tab. This is the only patch I have planned for the foreseeable future, and I'm making sure not to carry this issue forward into Volume 2 and beyond. I apologize again for the inconvenience. Mea culpa!
