Repeated intro
Hello Minesweeper lovers,
What changed
- Gameplay
- Maps
- UI and audio
This may come as a surprise for a game that has been quiet for such a long time, but I’ve been working on new artwork and systems for the game.
※ Everything is still work in progress and subject to change.
Game development is still my profession, and I’ll probably continue making games for decades to come.
Improving games that I had to release in an incomplete state due to my lack of experience back then is something I’ve planned just as much as creating entirely new games.
I originally wanted to announce everything together with the finished patch, but since I’ve been quietly(?) working on it alone, things kept getting delayed. So I decided it would be better to share the progress more openly.
Here’s what is currently in development:
A classic Minesweeper mode
Multiple single-player stages (with potential for future expansion)
A more fully-featured multiplayer lobby system
Retaining the existing AI mode and versus mode
New sound effects and background music
New visual effects
Since matchmaking does not work well without a sufficiently large player base, I currently plan to remove that feature for now.
(It may be added back later if needed.)
Thank you!
