Mine or Burn changes
Developer Update
Mine or Burn is expanding beyond its core asteroid-breaking gameplay with new bullet hell and survival modes. This update introduces new ways to play, along with relics, survival improvements, and continued development of the original experience.
Incremental Bullet Hell
A brand-new way to play.
Freely pilot your ship through dangerous sectors, mine asteroids, battle enemy ships, and dodge waves of incoming fire.
Every run culminates in a major boss encounter that transforms the entire sector into a battle for survival. Defeat the boss to advance to the next sector, where tougher enemies and greater rewards await.
Relics
Relics are hidden inside special asteroids and can dramatically change how a run unfolds.
Some provide powerful bonuses paired with meaningful drawbacks. For example, one relic greatly increases resources while reducing the time available in a sector.
More relics are planned, creating new possibilities and run-defining decisions.
Asteroid Breaker
The original Nodebuster style mode remains a core part of Mine or Burn.
Your ship stays anchored as you break apart asteroids, collect resources, and prepare for each sector’s boss encounter. Between runs, you unlock upgrades that make future attempts stronger and more efficient.
Survival Mode
Survival mode offers a more open-ended challenge.
Collect enough fuel to jump between sectors while surviving increasingly dangerous threats. Upgrade your ship between jumps and see how far your build can carry you.
What's Next?
More relics
More enemies
More bosses
These updates bring Mine or Burn closer to its full vision, and there's still much more to come.
