Hey players! Steam Next Fest starts TOMORROW, and so we've made a bunch of changes and fixes to the Mimicry! demo for you all to have fun with. Hope you enjoy! Read more below:

Mimicry changes
Content / Balance Changes
We have now added the Revolver into the Exterminators’ arsenal for the demo, as a special Next Fest addition!
- New Active Mimic AbilityDecoy - Send out a decoy mimic in a straight line to distract Exterminators. Now part of the available mimic abilities for the demo in Next Fest!
Barracks now has 2 smaller map variants, called Showers and Cafeteria, that block off different sections of the map to make it suited to lower player counts.
More potential randomised room prop layouts have been added to Barracks
The lobby has had a bit of a refresh. While we are currently working on a new and improved (much bigger) version of the lobby, we have added a few things from that new lobby into the old one to give you some fun things to do while you wait!
We have done an art polish pass over our two demo maps (Laboratory and Barracks) and the tutorial, improving lighting and gradient effects throughout
- Arachnophobia friendly mode has been added to the settingsWhen enabled, Mimics have their legs removed and walking sounds replaced. Now they’re funny little orbs floating around!
The Float exterminator emote has been replaced with the Cheer emote
Grenade Launcher now triggers an auto reload after not firing for 1 or 2 seconds
Invisibility opacity has been increased from 0.15 to 0.25 and it now changes your mimic colour to white while invisible
Headgrab cooldown increased from 1s to 2s and now has a hunger drain of 5/s while headgrabbing
Dash cooldown increased from 1s to 2s
Tweaked recommended starting exterminator counts slightly (specifically now starting 3 exterminators from 11-12 players instead of just at 12 players)
Bugfixes
Fixed some issues with flamethrower flame particles which should make it much more consistent to hit mimics with
Fixed seeking timer slider resetting its value to 5:00 every time you open the lobby settings menu
Fixed hat title and description in hat customisation menu defaulting to saying “Title” and “Description” instead of the currently selected hat
Fixed opening the audio settings menu involuntarily unmuting your voice chat
Minor tweaks to tutorial wording
Fixed oven doors / burners not always replicating properly to clients
Added “Return to Hub” button on pause menu that lets you teleport back to the central room in the lobby
Fixed some audio issues with specimen tanks in Laboratory
