A major update goes live on June 15.

Built on the feedback you've sent us, we've gone beyond simply adding content and rebuilt the core play experience of Mimesis from the ground up.

For the smoothest experience, please update to the latest build. If the update doesn't start automatically, verify the integrity of your game files.

  1. Game Cycle Overhaul

The whole rhythm of a run — set out, and return to the Service Station — has changed completely.

Steam post image One more day? Or the Station? — Once you've gathered enough scrap, you can head back to the Service Station whenever you like. Push for more or turn back — the call is yours.

Two roads, no right answer — and rising contamination. — Maps are now chosen by two things: danger and resources. But contamination climbs every day until you reach the next Service Station.

No rescue is coming. — If all four of you go down, it's game over on the spot. There is no next day.

  1. Mimesis 2.0

Mimesis has evolved another step.

An evolved Mimesis — Mimesis now deceives and attacks you with a wider range of behaviors and voices.

Who are you, really? — Can you be sure the one talking right beside you is actually a friend?

  1. Mimesis Possession

Let the dead speak. — While spectating, you can possess a nearby Mimesis and speak through it. Now a full feature, out of the Lab.

Borrowed time. — After a while, or once the Mimesis moves too far away, the possession ends. The next one takes time (cooldown).

  1. New Map Themes

New places — Existing areas have been reworked, and new ones added.

Steam post image New Service Stations — New Service Stations have been added. Be sure to visit them all.

Gear up and last longer. — You won't meet every area early on. The longer you survive, the more new options reveal themselves.

Forbidden Zone — An unknown Forbidden Zone has surfaced. A blessing, or a disaster. Put your luck — and your skill — to the test.

  1. 6 New Monsters

Six new monsters join the cast. We don't recommend walking up to say hello.

  1. 4 New Gimmicks

Swinging Tire — Watch only the floor and you'll pay for it. Keep your eyes up and ahead.

Bear Trap — And yet there are bear traps on the floor. Keep your eyes down, too.

Phone — Somewhere, a phone is ringing. Who could be calling?

Fortune Machine — Feed it scrap and test your luck.

  1. 4 Equipment Upgrades

The Service Station can now upgrade more of your gear.

Toy Puppy → MockHound — Instead of barking, it records and plays back your voice. Got something to say? MockHound will pass it on for you.

Electric Flyswatter → Stunner — No more swinging. Switch it on and charge in.

Shotgun → Double Barrel Shotgun — Capacity goes from one shell to two. For everyone who always wanted just one more.

Teddy Bat → Amped Bat — Adds a big, wide power swing. It hurts whoever it hits — but it sounds great.

  1. New Action

Throw Scrap — You can now throw most one-handed scrap.

  1. Quality of Life & Presentation

Emoji Ring — Press Q to bring up the emoji ring and pick the reaction you want in an instant.

Richer Audio — New ambient sounds make exploration feel fuller.

UI/UX Improvements — General UI/UX improvements.

  1. Etc.

Balance Adjustments — Overall game balance has been adjusted.

Tram Upgrade Change — The hanger has been removed from the tram upgrade options.

Danish Support — Danish has been added. Screams don't need subtitles, though.

Baritone Chicken Skin — A new skin for the Chicken. Granted to every survivor to mark the update. Details in the event announcement.

⚠️ Save File Notice

Because this update significantly changes the game's structure, existing save files can no longer be continued.

Come share more about the game on our official Discord.
