Midnight Mazesoba changes
This is the third update for Midnight Mazesoba. This update focuses on addressing long-standing performance issues, fixing a variety of bugs, and adding new content, including brand-new gameplay modifiers for shop items to spice things up.
Here’s what you’ll find in this major update:
Performance & Stability
Identified and repaired many skinned mesh renderers and shadow casters that were causing RAM spikes and crashes during longer play sessions.
Improved framerates on both lower-end and higher-end computers.
Reduced unnecessarily high polygon counts across many models.
Significantly reduced overall memory usage to prevent crashes and wasted resources.
Gameplay & Content
Improved the selection of items for sale in the store.
Added gameplay modifiers to many existing and new shop items that affect earnings and customer behavior.
Improved the shop UI for items.
Added a wider variety of customers.
Added some furry friends to keep you company in the gloom.
Updated several customer hair and clothing textures.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where entering the store while chopping an onion could lock you out of the chopping block.
Fixed a bug where food could occasionally not be placed down during the finale.
Fixed an issue where getting stuck outside the Mazesoba stall could prevent the player from getting back inside.
And many other small fixes and improvements.
Demo
Updated the demo with new content and performance improvements.
As always, thank you for playing my game. A special thank you to everyone who left reviews or sent messages about bugs and improvements, I hope you enjoy the update!
