Midnight Heist changes
Hello everyone!
We are well on schedule with our new roadmap and have the long-awaited afterlife and equipment upgrade update ready!
After Life
A big problem with Midnight Heist in co-op was that when you died, you didn't really have anything to do. We've addressed this problem with the Afterlife update, so now there's a lot to do when you're a ghost.
As a ghost, you now have the opportunity to increase the maximum loot for the rest of the survivors by completing mini-games and solve a big puzzle.
Both completing mini-games and completing the puzzle ensure that new loot appears for the survivors to collect. In addition, as a ghost you can now mark any item (if it makes sense) so that the people alive can see it for a maximum of 30 seconds. A maximum of 3 items can be marked at the same time.
However, if you don't want to help your team, but rather scare them, there is now also the option of imitating the sounds of an entity as a ghost.
Equipment Upgrades
In the item overview, you will now find upgrades for each item that optimize this item with features or improvements just for you. These range from increased range and brightness of the flashlight to completely new functions such as placing the EMP grenade as a trap. These upgrades are permanent and have a certain level as a requirement.
+1 new item slot We have also listened to your feedback and are now allowing a total of 5 items to be used at the same time, instead of 4 as before.
Important: With this update, the additional functions of the flashlight (UV light) and the smartphone (camera) have become independent upgrades for unlocking.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where hacked cams displayed the wrong floor
Fixed a bug where used EMPs would not be removed from the loadout
Fixed a bug where highlighted loot with the “Sharp Sighted” perk was still active when the player died near it
Fixed a bug where an item would no longer have a hit sound if it was picked up too quickly after being hit
