First off, I want to start by giving a HUGE thank you to everyone who has been playing and enjoying Micro Stream RPG. When I started this project, it was only meant to be a small toy for my own stream, but the more my viewers on Twitch enjoyed the game, the more I wondered if it was something that other people might enjoy using if it were made more public. Over the past week, I've had the chance to see that question in action, and I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see viewers and streamers alike playing and enjoying the experience. I know it's just a small little game at the moment, but there's something special about seeing something you've made bring others happiness, and I really can't say thank you enough for that.
So THANK YOU! Thank you, sincerely. I told you I couldn't say it enough. <3
In case you missed it, the Spring Event started yesterday. I hope everyone gets to enjoy the event over the next couple weeks. It's the next step in the timeline of events I have planned. After the event, you can expect the next dungeon to be released, and shortly after that the Companion App. These will help inject some longevity to the game for a bit while I pump out the next bit of content.
I'm also aware there is an issue in the game that causes Micro Stream RPG to sometimes stop connecting to chat and receiving commands. I'm looking into this and hoping to have a solution to it here soon. In the meantime, if this issue does occur, just close Micro Stream RPG out and open it back up again. My apologies for this.
That about wraps up the immediate things I wanted to talk about. I'll be sharing more in the future as it develops. For now, here are the small changes/fixes made to this version.
New features:
Added in functionality to keep the queue counter on screen by pressing F1. You can toggle it back off with F1 again.
Adjustments:
Adjusted the healing amount from "!heal" commands when the game is set at 2x or 3x speed. This increased healing is put in place to help provide a little more oomf to heals on these speedier runs since the cooldown timer for "!heal" commands usually doesn't reset until after the run is over.
Adjusted the level cap for monsters in the Spring Event dungeon to never exceed the player's own level. This is mainly put into play to help low level players not get completely demolished by the event dungeon's enemies.
Adjusted the stats of some of the enemies in the Spring Event dungeon to make them slightly easier to deal with. We hate seeing people lose out on earning eggs.
Bug fixes:
Fixed an issue where eggs collected during the Spring Event would still register even if the player died during their run. This would sometimes allow them to skip over a badge milestone.
Fixed an issue with "!heal" commands not registering when the on-screen character is moving between monsters.
Fixed an issue where earning a badge other than the Spring Event Badge in the Spring Event dungeon would end the run prematurely.
Hopefully fixed an issue where sometimes a player who used the "!rpg" command would be placed into the Spring Event dungeon instead.
V0.21.1 Changes:
Reworked player and monster speed calculations through the engine to more consistently reflect speed differences across all level scaling.
Updated some of the dungeon title text graphics for consistency.
Sped up the "Turn-In Complete!" text at the end of a Spring Event run to better match the current game speed.
Hopefully fixed an issue where sometimes players using the "!rpg" command would instead be placed in the Spring Event dungeon.
Disabled Twitch "PING" detection as I think this might be causing some random crashes.
Fixed an issue preventing the Queue Limit function from working.
Fixed an issue where incorrect monster data was being recorded.
V0.21.2 Changes:
Fixed an issue with game color not working.
