Welcome to Dystokio, Hunter.

It's been almost a century since the near total annihilation of mankind.

The once prosperous Tokyo Bay has been reduced to an urban wasteland, earning the nickname Dystokio. The dwindling population do what they can to survive but humanity remains on the brink of extinction by towering death-dealing robots.

SoNS, a deadly faction of zoomorphic machines now relentlessly hunt down the remnants of civilisation. Created by the supercomputer, NOA, SoNS were designed to wipe out the human race to avoid ecological disaster.

If you hope to stand a chance out in the wastes, you'll need a sturdy vehicle of your own.

The wastes are split into two distinct areas. There's the overground, home to some of the largest and most devastating SoNS imaginable, where the dunes stretch as far as the eye can see. And then there's the underground. The dark and dismal depths house some of the more grotesque mutations to have emerged since the Great Annihilation.

Hit the Road!

Vehicles will be your main form of transportation due to how vast and deadly Dystokio is. On the surface you'll have access to your entire arsenal of tanks and weapons, however, so will the enemy!

Exploring the surface can be extremely rewarding, especially when making use of the handy metal detector. Spare parts and debris left behind from past tank battles lay strewn about the sand, ripe for the picking.

Going Underground

The underground has its benefits too but is not for the timid of heart as you won't be able to take your trusted tank down there with you. It's just you against them. However, anyone brave enough to delve deeper will find a whole host of treasures left behind.

At first glance, it may seem that the underground is limited to only a few areas, but in reality, it is home to a whole labyrinth of pathways and unique monsters to face. Don't let your guard down when exploring as you'll be at your most vulnerable without access to your vehicle fleet. There may even be a few Wanted SoNS lurking down there.

Mankind's Best Friend

There are tonnes of areas to explore as you search for survivors and upgrade your vehicles. Thankfully, Iron Base has you covered with the innovative DOG system. Instantly transport between previously discovered areas or head back to base to heal up and reload.

The DOG system includes both surface and underground areas so look out for waypoints marked INTERIOR and EXTERIOR.

When in doubt (or if you get lost), a swift retreat is always an option. After all, you are humanity's last hunter, and a lot is riding on your shoulders!

Prepare to gear up and roll out on June 10th, 2022.

Good luck out there!
