Thank you so much for your support in wishlisting Menes: The Chainbreaker.

This game is a labor of love and passion, created in 2 years.

Here’s a few of the things in this build, alongisde other new improvements:

World & Atmosphere

  • The mushroom zone has been reworked into a much scarier, moodier segment;

  • Improved environments across multiple areas;

  • Removed some ugly traps and polished platforming sections;

  • Better Anubis Boos Fight;

  • Better Cutscenes, Storyboards and Music

Gameplay & Level Design

  • The Bridge section has been redesigned: now with infinite rolling balls;

  • Added falling balls in the tower (good luck…);

  • Improved acid pools;

  • Added Ranged Enemies;

  • Better balance and better animations;

  • Wings are now more stable and properly balanced;

Controls & Feel

  • Better controller support; it may still be unresponsive on UI, working on it! Please use keyboard and mouse if you can, for some sections.

  • Control is more responsive now;

  • Goblins now have proper animations;

  • Sword light improved for better clarity

  • Doubled overall-performance, optimized a lot!

Some of the Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Daedalus auto‑equipping on fall damage (should only trigger on enemy damage now);

  • Fixed storyboard bugs;

  • Fixed the death screen triggering multiple times;

  • Fixed the first‑play freeze / not‑loading bug;

  • Improved portal logic: they should no longer kill you;

  • No more transparent backgrounds or movement during cutscenes/menus;

  • So many more!

This update should make the whole experience feel smoother, clearer, and more atmospheric. I’m still pushing hard to polish everything, kill bugs, and make Menes: The Chainbreaker feel as good as it should be.

Thank you again for the trust and the kind words. I’m committed to giving you something unique, challenging, and fun.

More updates soon! Thank you for being part of this journey!

May you find success in your own!
