addedIn Update 0.2.2, we've added several of these changes and balance tweaks to enemies, gubbins, bosses, etc.
changedThe DepthsBeing the first level, we decided to reduce the health/damage of various enemies to ensure they are a more consistent difficulty. Changed enemies include: Forklift Sentry/Guardian Rats
changedThe DepthsThe Manager's health has been slightly reduced, along with his attack damage.
addedFungal FarmsThe Fungal Farms were in a good spot during the Next Fest, though we've made some small tweaks to some of their enemies: Chopper's melee attack now has better tracking Covercap's health was reduced, and now shoots/hides faster Rats have more health in Fungal Farms
fixedFungal FarmsFixed an issue where the Rat King was slow to start attacking in phase 1. His health has also been slightly increased.

Over the course of the Steam Next Fest, Memo to the Underlord received a very positive reception, as well as plenty of feedback for polish and finetuning!

In Update 0.2.2, we've added several of these changes and balance tweaks to enemies, gubbins, bosses, etc.

This will also be our last Demo update until 0.3, as we turn our full attention to Early Access releasing later this year!

The Depths

  • Being the first level, we decided to reduce the health/damage of various enemies to ensure they are a more consistent difficulty. Changed enemies include:

    • Forklift

    • Sentry/Guardian

    • Rats

  • The Manager's health has been slightly reduced, along with his attack damage.

Fungal Farms

  • The Fungal Farms were in a good spot during the Next Fest, though we've made some small tweaks to some of their enemies:

    • Chopper's melee attack now has better tracking

    • Covercap's health was reduced, and now shoots/hides faster

    • Rats have more health in Fungal Farms

Abilities

  • Hyper Coffee has been nerfed, now reducing attack damage while active.

  • Dueling Glove's damage has been doubled and is now a more effective option.

  • Paper Storm's area has been improved and can be further increased with the Slimy Newt gubbin.

Sound

  • Lowered the volume of the projectile throwing sound for various enemies (Bombers, Choppers, Rat King)

  • Sentry/Guardians now have wind-up sounds before firing

Bugs

  • Fixed certain rooms getting soft-locked

  • Fixed bug where Eyeball enemies could get stuck in a far corner and become unreachable

  • Fixed door colliders, stopping players from getting caught on them
