Megastore Simulator changes
🎮 Full Controller Support (Major Update)
The game is now fully playable without a keyboard & mouse.
Default vehicle acceleration/brake moved to triggers.
Added forklift accelerate & brake rebinds.
All inputs are now fully rebindable.
UI navigation is fully adapted for controllers (orders, payments, price window, etc.).
The price window properly shows the slider UI when opened with the controller.
UI helpers dynamically show the correct controller button icons.
End Day button now correctly displays updated bindings.
It should also work fine with Steam Decks
🚛 Vehicle Reset System (Yes, I knew 😄)
Alright… I knew some of you “lost” your vehicles. So I added reset spots, clean, reliable, and easy to find.
To save warehouse space, vehicles reset on the loading docks (instead of adding big reset zones inside the warehouse):
Pallet Jack & Electric Pallet Jack → Dock 1
Forklift → Dock 2
Reach Truck → Dock 3
🧯 Critical Fixes & Stability
🥖 Baker Fixes (High Impact)
Fixed bug where bakers interfered with each other’s workflow.
Fixed the issue preventing changing baker shifts (work schedules).
Fixed open-box pallet spawning inconsistencies.
📦 Box / Truck “Ghost Stock” Fixes
Fixed a major issue where boxes could:
Stay inside trucks
Clip under trucks
Become unreachable “ghost stock.”
Disappear entirely
✅ This should stop new stock from going missing going forward.
If you already have missing stock/ghost stock from older saves, A cleanup fix is planned soon to help recover or resolve old leftovers. But from this update onward, I expect this issue to no longer happen.
🧩 Other Fixes
The top pallet on pallet racks is now clickable while walking on the ground.
Sale ribbons no longer remain stuck on candy racks.
Fixed visual issue when throwing pallets quickly.
Cloud Save related fixes and improvements.
⚙️ Performance Notes
General optimizations applied, especially for larger stores.
Small note: pallets with open-box bakery & produce items are more resource-heavy. If you do extreme bakery stockpiling, performance drops can happen. A targeted optimization is planned soon.
For now, if needed:
Lower Product Draw Distance in settings.
Closing Note
Controller support took longer than I expected, but it’s finally in, and it’s solid.
Next regular update will be warehouse-focused: lots of QoL, worker improvements, and new expansion content. After the warehouse update, I plan to add all sorts of customizations in another big update
There may also be one or two small patch updates over the weekend.
