addedSince there is currently no full tutorial for the new systems, here are a few things to keep in mind when starting your new save:
changedThe plant information panel provides more detailed feedback about the current condition of a plant. It is worth checking regularly instead of only reacting once the plant is already in poor health.
changedUnfavorable conditions can create stress over time. A short mistake may not immediately destroy a plant, but continuously ignoring its needs will have a much greater effect. In the same way, a stressed plant may need some time to fully recover after its conditions have been improved.
addedDo not worry if everything is not immediately obvious. Experiment with the new systems, observe how your plants react, and use the available information to adjust their care step by step. 😄
addedA more detailed tutorial and additional explanations will be added in future updates.

Plants now require more attention than before. Their condition is influenced by their environment, the care they receive, and problems that may continue over a longer period of time.

Would You Prefer to Keep Playing the Previous Version?

If you would like to continue playing with your existing save game, the previous version of Medicinal Herbs will remain available through Steam’s beta branches.

To select it:

  1. Open your Steam Library.

  2. Right-click on Medicinal Herbs.

  3. Select Properties.

  4. Open Game Versions & Betas.

  5. Select “Version 0.20.2.1” from the beta branch menu.

Steam will then download and install the previous version of the game. You can remain on this branch for as long as you wish and continue using your existing save game.

To return to the newest version later, simply open the same menu again and select the default branch.

Please note that the previous version will not receive the new gameplay systems, improvements, or future content. I also recommend keeping old and new save games separate, as the two versions use different save systems.
