Feature Playtest #2 Details
On Feature Playtest #2, we'll let you test out our latest additions/changes to the game. Please note that these features are not yet final and may be removed/changed/tweaked based on your feedback.
First and foremost, Feature Playtest #2 is a Lifeline Mode-only Playtest. More details about why we decided to do this is explained after this section.
Arena Mode --> Lifeline Mode - This playtest renames Arena Mode to Lifeline Mode, updates detection markers, and improves map balance and UI. Enemies won’t detect you while treating the wounded, new between-stage QTEs add variety, and Kakazu’s third stage, plus a new minefield mechanic deepen the challenge.
Morale System - The Morale System adds urgency by pushing you to stay active and efficient. It motivates quick movement, prioritizing wounded, and avoiding idle moments. Acting as a second "progress bar", morale rises when you treat the injured and declines when you’re idle or inefficient, creating the much-needed pressure to stay engaged in the chaos of war.
Game optimization - Thanks to all the feedback we received from Feature Playtest #1, we've made a huge push to improve the game's performance across most systems. Besides all the optimizations we've done, we have overhauled the graphics and video settings to make it easier for you to tweak them to your preference, besides being visually better.
- CosmeticOverall game balanceTweaks were made to provide an overall better, balanced gameplay, including but not limited to: Stamina, Skills, Skill Tree, etc.
How to Participate in the Playtest
We made it so much easier for you to playtest Medic: Pacific War. Instead of a closed playtest, we decided to make it an open one - as we want to receive as much feedback as possible over the course of the week.
In order for you to secure your spot for the playtest, visit our Steam page below and find the playtest section, where you'll find the"Request Access"button.

Once you've requested access, all you have to do is wait for the scheduled playtest to start. While you're waiting, don't hesitate to join our Discord server, where you'll be able to discuss the game with fellow Medics.
That's it for our second mission briefing, Medics. Looking forward to your playtest experience and all your feedback!
