MEANWHILE IN SECTOR 80 changes
Hi! I'm going to start posting these directly into our Steam blogs now, but if you'd rather read it on our website, I will always include a link here at the top of the page!

Happy Friday! We've been BUSY. Playtesting continues and there's a new release for alpha playtesters going out today! There's still time to sign up, so check out our Discord server and say hi!
MEANWHILE IN SECTOR 80 Last time, we announced our first wave of closed alpha playtests and showed off some player builds!
This week, we're playing with some new looks — that means models for the player and for enemies!
Making a Face
In MEANWHILE IN SECTOR 80, the player and their enemies are constructed almost entirely out of modular electronic parts. This has always been the foundation of our game design — taking chunks out of an enemy and incorporating them into a very literal player build!
But what does a player actually look like in a game where they are constantly growing and rebuilding themselves out of scrap parts?
Our answer: something without a head or hands — you need that space for guns! For a while, this meant no torso too as you can see in our (soon-to-be-replaced!) Steam page build montage!
Enjoy this little guy while you still can! Recently, Laura went back to the drawing board and gave the player character more detail.

This week, we're rolling out a new player model for playtesters, incorporating an improved power core and a fresh coat of paint!
I'm a big fan of their robot sneakers.
Know Your Enemy
While our player character gets a facelift (this is a funny joke because the player has no face), our enemies are getting similar treatment.
Playtesters and regular readers of FSH will already be quite familiar with our robodog enemies, but soon enough they'll have another transformation...

Looking Ahead
More enemies, more bug fixes, more testing, more news! FUNNY NUMBERS!
Steam Next Fest, anyone?
