Massive apologies from our team, we introduced a serious bug in the last update and just haven't had the capacity to fix it until now.
That said, the latest version should no longer freeze after the first turn of non-combat puzzles.
In addition, we've addressed all the issues raised in the steam forums (thanks again for those isobelle and saintguardian)
Hoping to add some new stuff to the game next month, as a thank you to players who keep coming back :)

Added:
Matchmaker has a dimmed colour when it is not the player's turn for clearer feedback on when the player turn starts
Changes:
Updated to a newer version of Unity to handle discovered vulnerability
Bug fixes:
Fixed all non-combat puzzles hanging after the player's first turn
Pulsing notifications are reset on new game
Empty inventory slots update their tooltips instantly on change
