Root3Games released the full-motion, live-action interactive game Master of Love on September 30 on Steam.

Master of Love is a first-person dating simulation game where the player becomes Junho, who has gone back in time 10 years. After losing everything (money, fame, and love) in his first round of life and hitting rock bottom, Junho now uses the lessons learned from previous failures to rewrite love stories with those lovers he missed out on in the past.

With around 500 videos, players can experience a unique and entertaining twist – and since Master of Love features interactive movies, various endings unfold depending on the choices made by the player.

A total of five female characters appear –starting with Junho’s first failed love. Each character is uniquely designed with distinct concepts and strengths – along with details like their zodiac signs, MBTI (Myers–Briggs Type Indicator) personality types, blood types, and hobbies (carefully crafted to avoid any overlap between the characters).

We recently sat down with the Master of Love cast members: Ji-eun Jeong (Luna Lee), Seo-in Han (Yuri Han), Si-eun Choi (Hana Jeong), Ah-yoon Jeong (Rahee), Yu-rim Kim (Yiso Yoon).

Yiso Yoon, a sophisticated and talented career woman

"I entered school for dance but graduated with an acting degree. I chose acting over dance because as I found more passion in acting. I want to play various roles across different genres for a long time and deliver performances that are loved by the audience."

Yu-rim Kim graduated with an Acting degree from Dongseoul University and has appeared in theater plays such as Deok-Hye Ong-ju,” Yoo Kwan-soon's September Song, Good Body, and Jung Yi- bong – as well as in the dramas Mr. Baek and Hwa-jung and in numerous TV commercials.

In Master of Love, Yu-rim plays Yiso Yoon – a startup CEO who pushes Junho into a corner. Her role introduces gamers to the story.

Yiso Yoon is a successful career woman who works at the same company as Junho and is also the owner of the company. She and Junho dated in their early 30s but broke up due to failed business investments. After Junho returns to the past, he reconnects with Yiso Yoon, resolves the business-related issues from their past, and falls in love once again.

Yu-rim notes, "Yiso is a character with a lot of inner depth beyond what appears on the surface. The more I analyzed the script, the more I felt a sense of sympathy for her – which allowed me to naturally immerse myself in the role. I’ve portrayed her in a way that allows players to feel her charm – so I hope you enjoy playing!"

Luna Lee, a memory of innocent first love

"Both acting and singing are essential for me. While achieving first place in music shows is important, I hope that many people can associate the name 'Busters' with our songs. In acting, I also want to present a wider variety of characters."

Ji-eun Jeon is the leader of the girl group Busters (Ji-eun, Nami, Min-ji, Takara, and Seira), as well as an actress and model. She has gained recognition through various works – including her appearances in the web drama One-Dimensional Girl.

Ji-eun plays Luna Lee, Junho’s first love who’s a college art student. Although they both believe they have feelings for each other, a small misunderstanding leads to a significant rift – and they end up parting ways without clearing the air. When Junho returns to the past, he reconnects with Luna and reflects on his past mistakes – giving him the chance to pursue his first love once again.

According to Ji-eun, "I was so happy when I passed the audition and received my first role – and I thought to myself that I needed to work hard. When portraying Luna, I considered the player as a fan and pondered how I could captivate them. I hope you’ll check it out for yourself in the game!"

Yuri Han, the cute and affectionate little girl next door

"I haven't had the chance to take on a variety of roles yet, but I aspire to be an actress who can immerse herself in different genres like Woo-hee Chun. I want to try various roles to become an actress who can showcase a diverse range – and I will continue to work hard toward that goal."

Seo-in Han is an actress who began gaining recognition in 2018 with the short film Stationery Shop. She has since appeared in various productions, including the dramas Taejong Lee Bang-won and Handle with Care, as well as web dramas The Murder Case of Yoon Ik-dae and Extreme Seasonal Part-Time Job – consistently showcasing her talent through numerous short films.

Seo-in plays Yuri Han, who hails from the same region as Junho and has known him since childhood due to their families' close ties. She gives Junho her unwavering love but eventually leaves – making her absence felt even more intensely by him.

"The character Yuri has surprisingly many similarities to me, which allowed me to immerse myself even more in the role, says Seo-in. ”I particularly remember the scenes from middle school, and I hope you’ll check them out in the game!"

Hana Jeong, a composed and brilliant office romance

"I felt a fresh sense of excitement while taking on the new challenge of acting in a full-motion interactive video game. I will continue to strive to be an actress who’s appreciated through a variety of activities."

Si-eun Choi is an actress who has appeared in the dramas Demon, The Enchanted, Running Mate, and Today's Webtoon – and she’s currently working on the upcoming movie Moral Hazard.

Si-eun plays Hana, who meets Junho as a fellow new hire and is engaged in a secret office romance. While Junho considers marrying Hana, misunderstandings and her ambition for success ultimately lead to their breakup.

"When I first received the script, I was surprised to discover that Hana's character had the same blood type, hobbies, and MBTI as me,” expresses Si-eun. “Perhaps playing Hana feels like fate for me. The relationship is quite relatable – so I hope players can empathize with this aspect while enjoying the game. Have fun!"

Rahee, a sexy model characterized by her encounters, breakups, and reconciliations

“I’ve wanted to be an actress ever since I was a kid. I could never give up my dream of becoming an actress – and I challenged myself with the mindset of working incredibly hard. I will continue to put in the work so that I’m remembered as Ah-yoon Jeong the actress rather than just a model."

Ah-yoon Jeong is well-known as a beauty and advertising model – and she has a unique background as a physical therapist. She’s currently expanding her career as an actress, including her work in web dramas.

Ah-yoon plays Ra-hee, a model who initially meets Junho on a blind date before their debut in the entertainment industry and subsequent breakup. While Junho is dating Hana, Ra-hee has a business relationship as a promotional model and representative for the company. After Junho and Hana break up, he reconnects with Ra-hee.

Ah-yoon says, "While the episodes featuring other characters are entertaining, the parts with Ra-hee are truly memorable. There’s a wedding scene with Junho that I hope you won’t miss. Also, I would appreciate it if you could remember the actress who played Ra-hee … Ah-yoon Jeong!”
