Mass Exodus Redux changes
It’s been a long time coming, but we are excited to announce that Mass Exodus Redux is now live! This is the biggest update to the game ever, completely rebuilt from the ground up, including new features, bug fixes, a new map and all-new visuals. We hope that you enjoy playing the new version, let us know if there’s anything we missed and please leave a review if you like what you see!
Visuals
New VR Hand models with poses
New powerup visuals for both players
New UI for both players
New and improved main menu
New Post Processing effects in all areas
New lighting in all levels
New particle effects in all levels
Added visual for players to see other players through walls during local multiplayer
Added visual for players to see active control panels through walls
Gameplay
Added a brand-new level “Level 4”
Added Seeker death sequence
Added win screen for both players
Added full controller support
Added ability to rematch with current settings
Added a playable tutorial for both players
New AI system with avoidance for other robots and players
Removed Mini-Map as it was making PC play a touch too easy
Sound
Added voice lines for VR Player
Added additional track layering to all levels to increase gameplay tension
New music for Level 4 and Main Menu
Optimizations
Brand new render pipeline for better visuals and faster calculations.
Many back-end improvements to vastly improve performance in all areas.
All game-logic re-programmed from the ground up, to improve game flow and use more efficient techniques.
Bug Fixes
Everything has been re-programmed and re-built from the ground up meaning old bugs and performance problems are now non-existent. We have extensively tested our end for any remaining issues we have identified, although there may still be a few things that we plan to quickly resolve. Let us know if you find anything!
