📜 Privacy Policy

Maru Expedition: We can fly (hereinafter referred to as “the Game”) values the privacy of users and processes personal information in accordance with applicable laws and platform policies. This policy will be presented via a consent popup upon first launch of the game.

1. Types of Information Collected

1-1. Information Automatically Collected via Unity Analytics

The Game uses Unity Analytics SDK provided by Unity Technologies to automatically collect the following information:

  • Steam Account Identifier: Internal ID for identifying users via Steamworks

  • Device Information: Basic hardware info such as OS, screen resolution, and device model

  • Language & Region Info: System language settings and IP-based location

  • Basic Gameplay Data: Session start/end timestamps, click events, etc.

This data is collected automatically by Unity Analytics SDK. The game developer cannot directly identify individual users using this data.

1-2. Custom In-Game Events Collected via Developer-Defined Logs

During gameplay, the following custom log events are collected based on specific in-game actions defined by the developer:

  1. Game Start (Run Start)

  • Selected ship ID, character name, difficulty level

  • Previous run's world and stage number

  1. Stage Entry & Result

  • Entered world/stage number, difficulty

  • Win or loss result, clear time

  • Character-based damage summary, gold collection rate

  1. Shop Interactions

  • Offered characters, selected character, current difficulty

  1. Character Upgrades

  • Upgraded character ID, selected upgrade ID, offered upgrades, difficulty

  1. Damage Taken

  • Hit ship ID, enemy ID, attack type (normal/pattern)

  • World/stage/difficulty where the hit occurred

  1. Run End

  • Total playtime

  • Characters used, total damage and upgrades summary, difficulty level

※ These logs are used solely for gameplay analysis and improvement purposes. Personally identifiable information such as names, emails, or contact details is not collected.

2. Purpose of Collection

Collected data is used for the following purposes only:

  • Statistical analysis for game balance and character/stage improvements

  • Bug fixing and enhancing game stability

  • Incorporating player feedback into new content design

  • Optimizing user experience through analysis of game flow, difficulty, and repetition patterns

3. Retention and Use Period

  • All data is stored and managed through Unity Analytics servers and retained for up to 6 months

  • After that period, the data is automatically deleted

  • All logs are stored in anonymized statistical formats, making it difficult to track or identify individual users

  • If a user does not consent to data collection:

    • You may refuse consent via the in-game popup at launch

    • You may delete and reinstall the game to re-trigger the consent prompt

    • Or play after the collection period (July 25 – July 31, 2025) when no data will be collected

4. Third-Party Sharing and Delegation

  • Collected data is not shared with any third parties

  • All analysis and storage are handled via Unity Analytics, a service provided by Unity Technologies

  • Data is processed on Unity Technologies’ global servers

  • No additional contractors or external storage providers are used

5. User Rights

  • As no personally identifiable information is stored, users cannot request to view, modify,
