MareQuest: An Interactive Tail

The most frequent question I get with MQ is regarding steam community items. That is trading cards, backgrounds, profile achievements, ect. As Marequest is a free game, it cannot qualify for these features. But the community has expressed interest and I'd love to deliver.

MareQuest: An Interactive Tail is my solution, an adorable procedural RPG visual novel set in the MareQuest multiverse. Follow a mystery mare with amnesia who goes on an adventure with new friends to retrieve her memories & explain strange happenings going on in the world.

To accomplish this project I've teamed up with a good friend Quote UnQuote to create beautiful art for this adventure. Both Quote and myself are very driven to completing this game and my conservative estimate of release is tentatively sometime this summer.

Sadly, to qualify for community items the game can't be free on Steam. I'm planning $5. This really kills me as MQ is a hobby and I don't ever want to see it as a job. My motivator is to connect as many folks as I can to my creation not hide it behind a paywall.

I'll iterate #Marequest will remain FREE. Only MareQuest: An Interactive Tail will be $5. Steam is mysterious about other criteria to enable community items, they're not auto-enabled for being paid, but once enabled I do plan to also provide free links to the new game.

I also want to mention Marequest will still be developed, but it'll be a some time before a new update while I work on MareQuest: An Interactive Tail. It is so exciting to work on something new from scratch and so much progress has been made only a month into development.
