You’ll fight three of the major naval battles fought during the bitter years of the Great Roman Civil War (49–31 BC): Tauris, Naulochus and Actium. To enter, go to the tournament page HERE ! The general tournament rules can be found HERE ! The first round will commence on Tuesday, the 5th of December 2017 . No further entries can be accepted after the tournament has begun. Specific tournament rules: This tournament will involve 3 rounds . The battles will feature a progressive level of complexity , from the lowest to the highest. Round 1 : Tauris: Caesareans versus Pompeians, 47 BC, Low complexity Round 2 : Naulochus: Caesareans versus Pompeians, 36 BC, Medium Round 3 : Actium: Caesareans versus Antonians, 31 BC, High Games are paired, so each matchup will be played both ways. First round pairings will be selected randomly, subsequent rounds using the Swiss Chess system. Nobody will play the same opponent in more than one round. Round times and timing out: Each round will last 10 days. The minimum number of turns for a full score is 4 and for active players is 2. The challenge points are 100, and it will be split between the contenders depending on the final result of the battle, being a draw 50-50, and a total victory 100-0.
