Overworld Progress - Weekly Update Mar 19

There's no game update this week but I wanted to share the progress I've been making on the overworld. I've settled on art for the main character and have an early draft of a character controller.

changedThere's no game update this week but I wanted to share the progress I've been making on the overworld. I've settled on art for the main character and have an early draft of a character controller. After trying several premade controllers I decided to write my own that doesn't use the physics engine at all. There are still some bugs with the collision detection, but hopping up and down the curb works quite nicely. Also I'm happy with the 8 way movement.
changedOnce the character movement and collisions are working well, the next step will be tying together the current minigames and the overworld. At first, you'll probably just trigger the current minigame menu by going up to an arcade machine and pressing a button.
