This patch includes QOL chances, new units, balance changes, and additional features that make the gameplay more engaging!
Browse Your Collection
In the main game menu, now there's a Collection option that displays all heroes available in the game. You can use it to check the base stats for a given unit at your leisure. You can also filter by the unit's locked status, which leads to our next section!
Unlock new heroes
Now you can unlock new heroes by achieving goals like finishing the game with a specific crystal, dealing damage, or getting to a specific level in Infinite Mode.
Those units have advanced mechanics, as you will be a more experienced player by the time you unlock them. Some examples are power transfer, "on every 100 heal/shield/damage" units, and others.
Those units add new ways to experience the game and make new strategies possible!
You can view the unlockable units by browsing the "Collection" screen, which was also added in this patch.
Improved Unit Descriptions
We heard your feedback, and now new players should have an easier time understanding what each card does. The descriptions now use longer text explaining what the unit does in more detail.
If you preferred the previous notation, you can enable it under Settings -> Game -> Compact Tooltips. By doing that they should look like this:
New Effects, Reactions, and Targeting Mechanics
Now units may have these new effects when performing their actions or reactions:
Absorb power - like the existing encounter, but during battle (absorb 50% power from row allies)
Distribute power - like the existing encounter, but during battle (give 50% power to column allies)
Decrease power - makes units lose power
Multiply power - increase power by multiples like 1.2x
The following events are now triggers for reactions:
Every 100 damage/heal/shield
Every 10 regen/poison
On re-haste (when a hasted unit is hasted again)
On re-slow (when a slowed unit is slowed again)
On landing a critical hit
On over heal
On battle start
The targeting system was also updated to support new options:
Weakest/Strongest ally
Weakest/Strongest enemy
New Stats Panel
Under the Settings menu, you can open this new panel that shows your lifetime totals in the game, including how far you went in Infinite Mode and your most powerful unit.
What's next
This concludes this round of updating in the game. Our goal now is making the game more balanced and stable.
Our next goal for the game is enhancing the community side of it, by adding ways to share victory builds, view match replays, and even do PVP matches.
We are just getting started!
