In the event that the process doesn't become automatic at launch,
here are some instructions for how to enable alternate builds for the game.
Steam post image From the Steam library, right click "Maku" > "Properties"
Steam post image Enable Beta Opt-In in the Betas Tab:
Steam post image In the dropdown, check "idlemaku"
Option 1
Steam post image Back in the General tab, locate Selected Lauch Option In the dropdown, check "idlemaku"
Option 2
From the Steam library, you can change between versions under "SELECTED VERSION" by the PLAY button In the dropdown, check "idlemaku"
Then just hit PLAY
