Major Hoof changes
Thank you for all the feedback you've shared about the demo. One of the most common requests from players was to make the gameplay faster and more dynamic, so we've introduced a number of changes focused on improving the game's flow and overall pace.
Increased Speed, Higher Jumps & Better Momentum
We've significantly increased the maximum movement speed players can achieve, making the gameplay feel faster and more exciting. We've also increased jump height, allowing for greater mobility, more creative routes, and new possibilities for players who enjoy mastering levels and speedrunning.
One of the biggest gameplay changes is the way momentum works after sliding. Players now retain much more of their speed when leaving a slide, making movement feel smoother, more rewarding, and opening up new opportunities for chaining actions together. This change allows skilled players to maintain their flow through levels and take greater advantage of the game's movement mechanics.
To further support this faster-paced gameplay, we've also continued refining the overall movement feel across the demo.
New Perks

We've added new perks that give players more freedom to customize their playstyle and experiment with different strategies.
One of the new abilities allows players to perform a jump kick while in melee mode, creating new combat opportunities and adding more mobility during encounters.
We've also introduced an air jump that can be performed after initiating a slide, opening up new movement possibilities, alternative routes, and advanced techniques for players who enjoy mastering the game's mechanics. This addition works especially well with the increased speed and momentum changes, allowing for more fluid and creative traversal.

Improved Movement on Curved Platforms
To better support high-speed gameplay, we've adjusted movement mechanics on curved and arched platforms. Character control should now feel smoother and more predictable, especially when moving at higher speeds.
Camera Zoom Option

In response to many community requests, we've added a long-awaited camera zoom option in the settings menu.
The feature is available now, although we'll continue refining the visual presentation of certain levels in future updates, particularly more enclosed and corridor-like areas, to ensure the best possible gameplay experience with different camera settings.
This update is not the end of the changes and improvements coming to Major Hoof. The game is still far from finished, and there is a lot of work ahead of us.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to play the demo and share their thoughts. We've received a huge amount of positive feedback, but we'd also like to thank those who left critical or negative reviews. Honest criticism is just as valuable as praise because it helps us identify weaknesses and make the game better.
Most importantly, thank you for dedicating your time to writing reviews and sharing your opinions. Every comment, suggestion, and piece of feedback has been read and discussed by our team.
Our goal is to create a game that players genuinely enjoy. While we started this project with a clear vision, we're willing to adapt and reshape that vision to meet your expectations whenever it improves the experience. We want Major Hoof to become the game you want it to be, not just the game we originally imagined.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your feedback is already helping shape the future of Major Hoof, and we look forward to showing you what comes next.
