Devlog & Roadmap — Magic Soldier
We've been working hard behind the scenes for almost four months to get the game back on track.
We're not going to lie to you: we've come a long way.
🔥 Over the last 4 months, we’ve been putting in a huge amount of work to get things stable again.
Server crashes, client crashes, frozen players, broken quests, rollback issues with XP or inventory...
Yeah, we went through a storm.
There’s nothing worse for creators than seeing their game — their baby — not working properly.
I’ll be honest with you:
We’ve thought about **stopping everything** more than once.
When we see around 600 registered accounts, but only 5 players connected... it’s disheartening.
But we take a step back and remind ourselves:
If those 5 people love the game, then there’s hope — others will too.
We faced bugs where we genuinely said:
This one… we might not get through it.
And yet — we did.
Every single day, we work to make Magic Soldier better than the day before.
We try to consider most of your suggestions, and believe me: every single idea is studied.
Most of them have actually already been implemented.
🧑💻 Just as a reminder: we’re only two indie devs.
That means Magic Soldier is developed entirely in our free time.
We both work regular jobs. We get up at 4AM, work until 11AM,
then after work we get back to developing until 10PM or even later.
Our days are crazy long, but we do it because we love this project.
✅ And today, we can finally breathe a little.
We’ve fixed almost all the major critical bugs.
The game is now stable, reliable, and ready for what’s coming next.
And speaking of what’s next…
🗺️Roadmap — 2025 to 2026
We’re planning a total of 6 content updates, and 2 major milestone updates (1.5 and 2.0) by the end of 2026.
Until patch 1.5, our main focus will be crafting and improving progression between levels 30 and 100.
Leveling can feel too repetitive past level 30, and crafting currently feels too basic.
To address this, before our first major update (*Soul of the Weapon*), we’ll release two updates focused on:
New dungeons
New area
New crafting professions/skills
The Class Weapon Questline
⚔️ The Class Weapon will be the strongest weapon in the game at level 100.
Max-level players — you’ll definitely want to complete this quest!
Patch 1.5 — Soul of the Weapon
Crafting becomes more complex and rewarding (goodbye “1 silver stone = OP item”)
Start of the Ancestral Armor questline (available from level 100)
This will be the strongest armor for level 110 players
🛡️ Like the Class Weapon, the Ancestral Armor will be extremely difficult to obtain.
But it’s endgame gear — it should be earned.
Patch 2.0 — A Giant Leap
This will be a major leap forward — both in terms of gameplay and core systems.
We’ll introduce three huge features we’ve dreamed about since the beginning:
Elemental Damage & Resistance
Weapons, armor, and spells will have elemental stats:
🔥 Fire, 💧 Water, 🌪️ Wind, 🌿 Earth
These will be influenced by your elemental class
Some monsters will be weak or resistant to certain types
Talent Trees
Each class will get unique passives and spell choices
This opens up real build diversity and deep customization
Passive spell
Passive spells that grant bonus stats, effects, or boosts automatically
Strong synergies with talent trees and elemental builds
During Patch 2.0, you’ll also finish your full Ancestral Armor set.
And by then, you’ll fully understand the importance of having both your class weapon and armor,
especially as elemental stats become a core part of the game.
💬 Thank you all so much for sticking with us.
The hardest part is behind us — and the best is yet to come. —
