fixed1. Full Quest System OverhaulWay better quest guidance: You’ll actually know what to do 1. We added proper location markers for most quest objectives, and fixed the bug where quest markers would vanish out of nowhere. 2. We also added clear hints for key resource spawns. No more spamming global chat asking where to find clay 😭 3. A lot of longer quests have also been split into smaller, bite-sized steps so you always have a clear next goal.

Hey heroes, thanks for your patience — our first big update is finally here!

We’ve been grinding nonstop on your feedback ever since the Demo dropped, and today we’re rolling out our first major patch. Here’s everything that’s changed.

Quick rundown of what’s inside:

  1. Full quest system overhaul

  2. Tons of new creatures across the world

  3. Art pipeline polish

  4. New chest filtering

  5. Gameplay & control improvements

  6. Miscellaneous QoL tweaks

1. Full Quest System Overhaul

We heard you loud and clear on the janky tutorial and quest flow. We rebuilt the whole thing from scratch.

  • Smarter quest detection: No more crafting the same thing twice

If you already have a campfire built at your base when you get the quest? It auto-completes. No redundant crafting required. This works for all material and building-related quests now.

  • Way better quest guidance: You’ll actually know what to do

    1. We added proper location markers for most quest objectives, and fixed the bug where quest markers would vanish out of nowhere.

    2. We also added clear hints for key resource spawns. No more spamming global chat asking where to find clay 😭

    3. A lot of longer quests have also been split into smaller, bite-sized steps so you always have a clear next goal.

  • Actual gameplay tutorials: Now you’ll know how features work

We expanded and smoothed out tutorial quests for farming, animal husbandry, fishing, and more.

Also — NPCs will now come visit your camp instead of making you trek all the way back to town every time. No more endless back-and-forth running.

2. Tons of New Creatures Across the World

“So many weird little guys running around now”

Goblins in every biome now have their own unique skins. Steam post image

The snow biome got a bunch of new creatures, and some of them can even be tamed and brought back to your base!

3. Art Pipeline Polish

Pixel sprites and character portraits match way better now. No more jarring visual disconnect.

4. New Chest Filtering

On top of improvements to quick deposit/withdraw, you can now set each chest to only accept specific items or categories. Finally, NPCs will stop messing up your perfectly sorted chests.

5. Gameplay & Control Improvements

We tightened up a ton of core feel:

  • Pickaxes and axes now use area-of-effect hits instead of single-target

  • Monsters take continuous knockback

  • Balanced tool stats across the board

  • Longer placement and interaction range

6. Miscellaneous QoL Tweaks

  1. Customizable camera zoom: Zoom in or out however you want

  2. Multiplayer performance improvements

  3. Lower VRAM usage: We swear we’re not mining crypto in the background 😂

We saw a lot of you joking about absurdly high VRAM usage and accusing us of leeching your GPU. We found the issue: with FPS set to Unlimited, rendered frames would stack up nonstop and bloat VRAM to hell. It’s fixed in this build.

That’s the bulk of this update! We hope it makes the game feel way better to play. We’re still working through tons more of your feedback, so we’re heading back to the grind. Catch you in the next patch!
