addedWe've been hotfixing the 1.0.0 launch of M.A.S.S. Builder all week, hope you all were able to have fun with the things that aren't broken! For now, we'd like to tell you all about what's coming next to M.A.S.S. Builder! Let's get the big disclaimer out first, no, we aren't stopping our work with M.A.S.S. Builder, we are still going to keep working on it. There are a few more features and systems that we'd like to add to the game, not just content updates, but let's not go too far, let's just stick with what's coming next.
addedPvP ModeThis is a much requested feature to be added into the game, and honestly, we wanted to finish it before the 1.0.0 launch. However, due to various circumstances, we decided to not put this system out until further testing and multiplayer optimization. It will come in time as something to complete the multiplayer system alongside its nodes balancing. We cannot promise it will be a balanced gameplay but we'll make it happen and tune it up as best as we can.
addedNew FramesThe promised land, wait, the promised frames! They are an unlocked stretched goal from our Kickstarter Campaign and we promised to work on them post 1.0.0 launch. Well? That time has come. Let's go into details here. New base frames are something difficult and tedious to work on due to the amount of base armor parts we've created for the current frame. How does it relate to the new frames? Well, all base frame parts must be able to work with the new frames to provide as much customization options as possible. Think of it like this, the current base frame is one with humanoid limbs, but what about the Rex and Spider frame? How many limbs does a leg have? Which part do we use with each area of the limb? There's more than a few concerns we need to solve with every piece of the frame itself even before we start working on the frames, then reiterate and remake each one in a trial and error process. We will need to create the new frames, look to each attachment point for the best possible armor parts placement, and then fine tune each part to work best with the armors. Still, it's something coming to the game in the future.
addedPhoto mode improvementsLastly, we wanted to add a new feature to the photograph mode, a feature that allows you to display multiple of your M.A.S.S. units into the frame, pose them, and take a photo from there. We wanted this feature added so players can create dioramas, scenarios of their M.A.S.S. units together, and maybe some weird interactions between the units they've created. The problem with this feature is how players will control each units' placement, poses, weapons, and everything. The whole system will need to be made to accommodate all these controls.
addedPhoto mode improvementsSo when are all these coming? Honestly, we do not know. There are a lot of things needed for every part of the things we wanted to add into the game, but as per your requests, we promise to provide you at least an update every two month. Many of those will be text-only since if it's systems, there won't be anything to show, but we'll try our best to not leave you in the dark like last time.

Those would be all for what's coming, what we're working on, but this announcement does not stop there. We are now opening up an AMA questionnaire for anyone having any questions about anything that we can answer! The forms will be opened from now until October 5, 2025 11:59 GMT +7. We will take a week to answer and will provide them as text form in Steam forums in the week after so get your questions ready and ask away!

And lastly, M.A.S.S. Builder will be attending the Tokyo Game Show next week September 25 - 28, 2025 so if you're in the area and wants to talk to our developers, feel free to come and visit us at Hall 11 Booth E20!
