Luce Spenta changes
For once, it is not Morta speaking to you.
It's me, MrFaabry.
And I think this update deserved a few direct words.
After several months of work, Luce Spenta 1.5: Requiem is finally here.
This is not a regular update.
Without exaggeration, this is the version I always dreamed this project could become.
Rebuilt from the Ground Up
Every sprite, CG, background, and video sequence has been completely recreated.
This was never just about improving graphics. The goal was to create a cohesive artistic identity from beginning to end, something the original version was still searching for.
The characters feel more alive.
Sadness feels sadder.
Rage feels more intense.
Fear feels more unsettling.
Every scene has been revisited to better convey what it was always meant to tell.
And the changes do not stop inside the game.
The Steam page, trailer, website, interface, and a large portion of the promotional material have also been redesigned.
Why Now?
While working on Corda Signata, I realized how much both my skills and the tools I use had evolved since I first began developing Luce Spenta two years ago.
I did not want the next project, even as a DLC, to make the base game feel outdated.
So before moving forward, I decided to rebuild almost everything.
Today, Luce Spenta feels far more professional, more polished, and much closer to having its own distinct identity.
About the Legacy Version
Many people will probably ask what will happen to the original version.
Internally, I call it Legacy.
Maintaining two separate versions is complicated, but I have a deep affection for it because it represents the very first steps of this project.
My intention is for it to return someday as a free edition that preserves that original vision.
I cannot promise any dates, but I would love to make that happen in the future.
A Few Clarifications
The demo has not been updated yet, but it will receive this overhaul within the next few days.
The special events have not been fully updated yet either.
The Morta Show already uses the new visuals, and honestly, they turned out spectacular. I am not going to show anything. I'd rather you discover it yourselves. It has a unique decadent beauty that feels completely different from the main game.
Medietas Anni already featured the new visual style.
The remaining events will be updated over the coming weeks.
Thank You
If you have already played Luce Spenta, I encourage you to revisit every route.
The difference is enormous.
And if you have not played it yet, this is probably the best moment to cross Morta's threshold.
Thank you for every playthrough, every comment, and every review.
My full attention now shifts toward Corda Signata, but before doing so, I wanted to make sure Luce Spenta became the version I always imagined.
And for the first time, I truly feel it has.
If this new version resonates with you, please consider leaving a review.
It helps far more than you might imagine.
See you soon.
Next time, Morta will probably be the one speaking again...
