Lovebirb was a pet project of ours that grew into a major success in our hearts. With every stream, every comment, and every review, this small project turned into something special that we're proud to call our first official game!

Of course, it isn't without flaws. We've learned a lot about what we did well and what we can still improve on. We appreciated the kind words about the art and the writing, and did our best to optimize our rhythm mechanics to the best of our ability (like new tutorial song, bigger rhythm hit window, etc.)

But ultimately, we weren't able to get enough feedback from outside players to make major design and programming changes early on that supported the rhythm mechanic. This also meant that we couldn't test the game with different hardware, and we were limited to the PCs our team members had. 😔

Nevertheless, we're proud of what we got to do in the amount of time we had--and now, we're focusing on bringing all the things we've learned to our future projects for a better experience 💜

And so now, we'd like to announce that we're drawing the curtains on Lovebirb's development. This means that we won't be pushing anymore updates in the foreseeable future, and we'll take a nice break before starting on our next big adventure.

As far as events go, we'll be boothing in CONQuest 2023 this coming June to showcase our game! If you're in the Philippines, feel free to drop by to check out some sweet surprises 👀 like new merch?

'Til then, thank you so much for your love. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We hope you found the soulbirb of your dreams in our colorful cast. 🐣 If not, that's ok too!

With love, Anonymous Penguin Studio
