Can the game be played solo or in co-op?

Both! The game can be completed either solo or with the help of a second player.

It is to be noted that in co-op, both players play on the same screen; if the characters move far enough apart from each other, the screen splits in two.

For the first two minutes, only player #1 can play, but rest assured—the second player won't have too long to wait. Just a heads-up, player #2, we don’t suggest getting too attached to your character; it won’t be long until you'll be playing someone else...

How do I play in local co-op?

To activate local co-op, complete the following steps:

In the start menu, begin a session by selecting"New Game","Continue", or by loading a save file from the"Load Game"menu. The player who started the session will automatically appear in the lobby and be assigned the human character. The second player must then press the appropriate button on their device (X button on an Xbox controller or space bar on a keyboard). Once both players are connected, the word "Solo" below the "Start" button changes to"Co-op". Press A (controller) or Enter (keyboard), and the game will launch in two-player mode! I want to play online co-op with a friend. Do both players need to own the game?

No, only one of the two players needs to own the game to play online co-op. To do this, you must use Steam's"Remote Play Together"feature.

How do I play online co-op using “Remote Play Together”?

To use “Remote Play Together”, complete the following steps:

The player who owns the copy of Lost in Tandem must launch the game. Then, they must open the Steam overlay by pressing Shift+Tab. After clicking the"Remote Play Together"button in the bar at the bottom of the screen, they must invite the second player from their Steam contacts list using the option"Invite a Friend"or by sending a link via the"Invite a Guest"option. The second player is now connected to the game. It’s only now that the second player can join the lobby and follow the same procedure as a local co-op player described above.
