changedI rebalanced the opening by simulating the first years hundreds of times. Under the old balance, a large share of settlements were completely wiped out within 3 years — almost every death came from wolf raids in the first winters.
fixedWolves no longer attack your 3-person founding family — no wolf raids until your population reaches 6. After that, the danger returns, so don't get comfortable. - Villagers get hungry and thirsty more slowly — you have breathing room until your food and water chains are running. (Also fixed a balance bug: hunger was draining ~3x faster than the configured value.) - Increased starting resources: more stone (the well + core buildings can now be built from your starting stock) and more provisions. - Refugees are more willing to join your settlement — population grows more smoothly, and reaching Village level is no longer a grind.
fixedA brand-new sky: deep blue heavens, fluffy clouds drifting in the wind, and a golden setting sun. - Lighting rebuilt from scratch: warm sunlight, soft but crisp shadows, vivid colors. - Bloom fixed — due to a bug, it was never actually working. - The ground is no longer flat plastic green; it now has natural tone variation. - Anti-aliasing (TAA) enabled, shadow quality increased. - Fixed: the sun no longer blows out the screen during foggy/rainy weather. - Fixed: removed the murky haze that blurred distant terrain — the map is crisp now.
added*YOUR SAVES**: Existing saves are fully compatible. New starting resources apply to new games only; all balance and visual improvements take effect immediately in every game.
addedYour feedback shaped this update — I'd love to see screenshots of the new sky in the comments. Have fun!

**THE EARLY GAME IS NOW FAIR**
I rebalanced the opening by simulating the first years hundreds of times. Under the old balance, a large share of settlements were completely wiped out within 3 years — almost every death came from wolf raids in the first winters.
Wolves no longer attack your 3-person founding family — no wolf raids until your population reaches 6.
**VISUAL OVERHAUL**
RemovedA brand-new skydeep blue heavens, fluffy clouds drifting in the wind, and a golden setting sun.
