Loki's Revenge changes
I hope you all had a pleasant holiday break. I personally took a break from game dev for awhile and am now feeling ready to get back into things. I've put together an update with several highly requested features here. There's a few more things I want to do like this, and then I'll be able to focus on new characters, weapons, etc. for awhile.
Here are the big changes and additions:
Limited the number of boons you can take in a run as follows:
3 Weapon-type boons
6 Passive-type boons (including status effects)
Picking up a boon in the map when already at max breaks this limit and allows you to take extra boons
Once maxed out of a specific type of boon, you will only see level up versions of ones you've taken for the remainder of your run
The Boon list in the upper left UI has been updated to reflect these limits
Added off-screen indicators (toggleable in the options menu, on by default) for the following:
Boons in the map
Bifrost Shards
Bifrost Bridge
Here's all the changes in v0.2:
Fixed a bug where duplicates of a Boon could appear in the level up list (i.e. you already got Lv 2 of Vampiric Wing, but it reappeared in the upgrade list)
Fixed the Draugr Mage projectile being rotated incorrectly
Made the Stat Upgrade button on the Character Select screen more visually distinct and obvious
Rebalanced Vampiric Wing. It previously was triggering nearly constantly and now feels a lot more fair. If you care about the specifics:
Previously, your Luck stat (0-1) was purely added to the change (1-3% based on level) and then a roll would happen on every enemy hit. When you had a higher luck stat, this was an effective guarantee it would proc
Now, the luck stat is weighted less by halving it before adding it to the base chance (1-3%). This now makes for a maximum 53% chance at full Luck + Lv. 3 Vampiric Wing.
Fixed an issue where the tooltip/hover text for your Boon list would incorrectly display the effect text of only Level 1, even if you had Lv 2 or 3
Fixed an issue where getting enough XP to level up multiple times at once would only give you 1 Boon selection. You now immediately get to pick additional boons for each extra level you've gained
Attempt to fix a slow down/crash experienced when a lot of XP was collected at once (i.e. via a magnet pickup) by consolidating off-screen XP into 1 object with a higher value
