Log Away changes
I'm Gary, part of the team at indie game publisher Wired Productions - and we are delighted to announce today that we have joined forces with The-Mark Entertainment to help with future publishing and support of Log Away! We've been admirers of Log Away since launch, and can't wait to help not only bring visibility of the game to even more people around the world, but to help taking your feedback and helping make Log Away into the best, cosiest builder out there for those of us that want to take a break from it all for a while! We're ALSO announcing that there is a brand new Easter themed DLC just around the corner - launching on March 30th - and some additional updates based on your feedback since launch that should be landing right abooooooooooout now! No doubt you'll all have a lot of questions, so I'll get ahead and answer a few of them below, though please sound off in the comments if you have any questions, suggestions, feedback, or you simply wanna say hi!
Q : What does partnering with Wired mean for us?
Good question! For Log Away, it lets us help get the game in front of as many eyes as possible, taking it to events, exposing it to creators, setting up really boring (but important!) deals, working with partners on bundles, collaborations, fun competitions and much more. More visibility means more sales for The-Mark Entertainment, which means more support and more features and updates for you to build even cosier cabins! For you PERSONALLY? It means there's a whole team of us over here seeing your feedback, your suggestions and helping filter it through, make suggestions, support with testing and quicker, stable updates! This is just a very basic overview of how we're working together but trust me, the future holds much more!
Q : An Easter DLC? What's in it?
The Easter DLC is part of todays big announcement! It's going to be launching on March 30th for $1.99 and is a soft invitation to expand your cosy, creative options.
The DLC contains a collection of decorations inspired by springtime comfort, with easter themed items and a mellow soundtrack that keeps everything soft, slow, and easy to return to.
Picture this
A flower basket rests on the table, painted eggs glow in candlelight, and a little bunny charm peeks from a shelf as music drifts through the room. A meadow painting hangs nearby, a watering can waits by the door, and tiny details, like a rabbit cup or a goose jar, make the space feel quietly cared for. Nothing to keep up with. Just a retreat that feels a little lighter.
Here's what you'll actually find within the DLC • A collection of Easter‑themed furniture and decorations to mix into any Retreat: garden chairs, flower beds, shelves and cabinets with spring colors, a flower arch, cozy tables, and more.
Smaller touches that bring the season close: egg lanterns, egg candles, carrot garlands, fairy lights, kids’ drawings, flower rugs, vases, branches, and a pet bunny companion to keep you company.
A gentle seasonal soundtrack with a fresh, hopeful mood that sits in the background while you decorate, explore, or simply pause.
If that sounds like something that will breathe a hint of new life into your cabin, or simply pleasant way to spend an afternoon whilst waiting for the mornings to get lighter - you can check the store page out right here and drop a wishlist to get a notification when it launches.
And because a picture paints a thousand words, here's a little look at some of the DLC content for you, as a treat.
Q : You mentioned more updates? what's in them?
There's a new patch launching today - it contains a whole host of quality of life changes, as well as some modifications to some of less relaxing aspects of the game based on your feedback since launch. The detailed breakdown of patch notes is right here - but if that kind of thing isn't your bag, the tl;dr is that playing Log Away should be a much smoother, relaxing experience.
Full controller support: includes controls, UI dynamically changing (contextual UI, icons, etc), and the Tutorial dynamically changing.
- Steam Deck compatibility featuresWe are currently working our way towards full STeam deck verification, and our initial update includes increased size of UI and text, fully compatible controls, fully compatible Tutorial, and Steam Deck specific graphic settings (players choose between Performance and Quality, and both of these have been thoroughly tested and made sure to fit the Steam Deck hardware capabilities).
Additional fixes to many bugs and vastly optimized the game
Q : Anything Else?
The final couple of bits of news are that with the updates to the controls targeted at Steam deck - we are working towards a 'verified' status. As it stands there's one or two more tweaks related to the text before it's classed as 100% 'verified', but for now it is fully playable on the device, meaning that those of you that want to create a cozy cabin outside of your home can get that little slice of calm creation wherever in the world you find yourself. The Easter DLC is not the only new content pack coming to the game this year, with others already in the works that we think will surprise you - but we'll share more on that soon. And lastly, the Steam spring sale is now live! And if you haven't already picked up Log Away, you can save 10% on the game AND existing DLC from the start of the steam sale at 6pm GMT until the end of the sale.
Thank you all for taking the time to read if you've made it this far! We'll have more news coming throughout the year to share with you, and can't wait to see all of your new creations. Have a great weekend! - Gary
