Hi everyone, I wanted to take some time to talk honestly about Little Library.

This was my first game, and at launch, it was far more broken than it should have been. Core systems like tasks, progression, and quests didn’t behave reliably. In some cases, the game could become stuck or unpredictable. At the time, I didn’t yet have the experience to properly diagnose or fix those issues, and I often couldn’t reliably reproduce what players were encountering.

Over the past year, that has changed.

I’ve built more projects, made mistakes, and learned how to track down and fix the kinds of problems that held this game back. I now understand exactly where those issues came from and how to resolve them properly.

And despite all the obvious bugs, I noticed people kept coming back to Little Library.

Players connected with the idea of running a small-town library, recommending books, and managing the day-to-day. That core still works. It just needed to be supported by systems that actually hold up.

So I’m going back to Little Library with a clear goal: rebuild it properly.

This isn’t a small patch. I’m reworking and stabilizing the core systems that caused the original problems, including daily tasks, progression tracking, quest flow, and event logic. The focus is simple: everything should work consistently, predictably, and without breaking progression.

Once that work is complete, the game will go through proper playtesting to ensure these issues are truly resolved.

After that, Little Library will relaunch at a significant discount.

This update is about delivering the version of the game that should have existed from the start.

Thank you to everyone who played, shared feedback, and stuck with it. I haven’t forgotten that.

If you’re interested in seeing how this turns out, consider wishlisting Little Library or following the page. I’ll be sharing updates as the relaunch gets closer.
