📣 Announcement: Update on optimization and light baking

Hey @everyone,

We are sorry for the unannounced delay and the problems it created. We know all of you were super excited for the next chapters as we are but now we were getting so many users who were complaining about lumen not performing how it should be resulting in a unplayable game.

So we decided to bake the lighting and keep lumen as a option to enable for now. This will let players experience the world of Liminalcore in better way and also let other play who couldn’t play it before because of hardware limitations of Lumen.

This baked lighting approach will also help us plan for a VR Update in future! No promises on VR yet.

We sincerely apologize for this slight delay, but we want to deliver the best possible experience for you all. These chapters are shaping up to be truly amazing, and we’re confident the wait will be worth it.

Lumen / issues

There were alot of people who’s pc met the minimum requirements and still lumen wasn’t working how it suppose to be on there machines. In result people were getting disappointed and also some negative reviews. We were trying to solve the issue but lumen is a recent tech and it needs some time to be stable. We decided to bake the lights so more people can play and experience the game. We had some dynamic environments planned for next chapters but now we had to make some changes according to our needs and limitations.

We aren’t gonna reveal release date rightnow but as soon as we are done and satisfied with the results we will be revealing a release date with a new trailer of next chapters.
