Liminalcore changes
Hey everyone!
We’re excited to share the progress we’ve made based on the feedback from the playtest sessions on September 26! We had a blast watching you explore the eerie, unsettling spaces of Liminalcore, and your feedback has been invaluable in helping us polish the game. Here’s a breakdown of the updates and fixes that we implemented in the next patch, just a day after the first playtest session:
Patch Notes:
Caustics Added: Enhancing the water visuals to create a more immersive experience.
FOV Slider: Now you can customize your field of view for better control.
Headbobbing Slider: Adjust the intensity to match your comfort level.
- VHS Effect SettingsFine-tune the VHS aesthetic with new options for Fisheye Intensity and VHS Grain Intensity.
Bug Fixes:
Water not loading in certain areas has been fixed.
Resolved strange wave effects near the Dark Zone with a house.
Added controller support for interactions and zooming (Right Trigger for zoom, Left Trigger for interaction).
Fixed the frustrating bug where players would get stuck while sliding.
Corrected footsteps playing tile sounds even when walking in water.
Fixed invisible stairs issue.
Lights no longer disappear at a distance.
Fixed water textures breaking while mounting/dismounting ladders.
Smoothed out the janky ladder end animation.
Splash sounds are now fixed when jumping on tiles.
Resolved a bug where the player would start running unintentionally in “THAT” section.
Improvements:
Running speed in water has been increased.
Headbobbing has been refined for a smoother experience (no more wobbly camera!).
We’re so grateful for your feedback and can’t wait to hear more as we continue improving the game. Your input is key to making Liminalcore the best it can be!
The demo will be live soon, and we’re thrilled to finally share this project with you all. It’s been a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey for our small team, and we couldn’t have done it without your support.
Thank you for sticking with us through this process. Let’s make Liminalcore the unforgettable liminal experience it’s meant to be!
